Bringing the allotment home, has certainly been one of the very best decisions I have ever made. I can honestly say that I have absolutely no regrets digging up the lawn, and although it took a lot of hard work to create the space I craved, the rewards have been immense!
They say "you reap what you sow" well that is so true, because my kitchen garden just keeps giving!

Hi I'm Annie Austin....and I have a confession
I am not professionally trained and every bit the amateur gardener. If you asked me what the Ph of my soil is, the Latin name of for any given plant, or when it is best to prune your grapevine, you will almost certainly be met with a blank expression!
Despite this, I have been happily scratching the soil for the past forty years, but have only really become serious about allotment growing since 2013.
